FIRE AT OHAKUNE

COTTAGE DESTROYED (Front Our Own Correspondent.) OHAKUNE, To-day. A fire totally destroyed a fourroomed cottage on Rangataua Road, Oliakune, at about 2.45 tiiis morning. The fire broke out in the kitchen, and two rooms were well alight before the occupants, Mrs. Larsen and her daughter, noticed the outbreak. Both escaped in their night attire only. The lire brigade arrived promptly, but was unable to save the building. The cause of the fire is unknown. The building was occupied by Messrs. Goldfinch and Co. The insurance on the furniture was with the Guardian Assurance, for £l5O.
