The half-time scores were: Auckland 1, Wellington 1. After up-and-down play a smart run by Miss Sexton allowed Miss Bilham, who was going well, to score and Auckland was ahead. Hard hitting and combination by the Southerners mad© dangerous situations, but Miss Jurd relieved nicely. After Misses Sexton and Davoren had carried play upheld Miss Clevely netted, but it was disallowed. Just after the bell Miss Jurd made a brilliant run and the ball found the net. The score was not allowed. Final score: Auckland 2, Wellington 1. MEN’S MATCH The solidity of Auckland’s backs gave it a good victory in the men’s match. The teams were:—• Wellington. —R. Wilson being prominent, and Wilmot relieving brilliantly. The half-time score was: Auckland 1, Wellington 1. Again Wellington began vigorously, but a rush led by Worthington took play upfield.
