NEW FULLER POLICY
THEATRE IMPROVEMENT SCHEME FOR N.Z. SIR BEN.’S HURRIED TRIP A BEGIXXIXG has been made the foundation work of the new theatre in Queen Street . Auckland for the Fuller Firm. When Sir Benjamin Fuller pays this city another fleeting I'isit in about two months time he anticipates seeing considerable progress made. After a hurried business trip through New Zealand, Sir Benjamin left by the Aorangi yesterday afternoon for Sydney. The fact that the firm intended spending £25,000 on reconstructing the Opera House in Christchurch was announced prior to his departure. It is also proposed to reseat His Majesty’s Theatre in Wellington, and generally bring the building up-to-date and in conformity with modern theatrical requirements. These improvement schemes are part of a general policy which Sir Benjamin has inaugurated as far as New Zealand is concerned. Mr. John Fuller, who is in London with members of his family, is not expected to return to this side of the equator for at least two years.
