The qualifying rounds for the senior and Junior championships will begin next Saturday. GLENDOWIE LADIES An L.G.U. match played by the Glendowie Ladies’ Golf Club was won by Miss M. The winner of the August medal handicap, played by members of the Taumarunui Golf Club on Saturday, was W. J. Beresford, 99. 28—71. M. H. Wilks, 90, 18—72, was runner-up. The fourth and final round of the eclectic competition for the captain’s trophy resulted in a win for L. A. Wolford, with an eclectic score for 18 holes of 66. The next best was Crawford, with 70.
