A GOOD KICK OFF

T OGAN POINTER, who for the last six years in succession has headed the list of winning sires, was given a good start on the road towards the riband for the 1927-28 season by several members of the great family last week. During the three days’ function the defunct Americanbred horse was represented by seven winners, two of his progeny securing dual victories. These were Loganwood and Logan Park. Others of the tribe to bring honour to their sire were the Auckland pair, Jewel Pointer and Amaris, and the trotter Trampfast. The quintette is one that can be depended upon to keep the name of Logan Pointer well to the fore during the season.
