FARM HORSES BOLT
MAN BADLY INJURED SON IN GREAT PERIL (From Our Otcn Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. While Messrs. D. Bruce and Son, of Horsham Downs, were standing in a waggon on the farm on Saturday, the horses took fright and dashed off. The sudden jolt hux'led Mr. Bruce out of the back and threw* the son between the horses where he luckily caught hold of the shaft and held on, being dragged half around the paddock by the careering horses. He was in imminent danger of serious injury. When the father regained his feet he rushed after the waggon and headed the horses off. He jumped for the reins and dragged them to a standstill, but slipped and fell before the cart stopped and a wheel passed over him, breaking an arm an injuring his back, but his action saved his son.
