THE NORDEN CUP

WAIRARAPA V TARANAKI The Nurden Cup contest was played at Masterton on Saturday. The game ended in a drew. Although the visitors had the better of the game in the first spell the scores were two to one in favour of the home side, which was saved repeatedly by the solid defence of Smith, the left full-back, and Tilson, the goalkeeper. Wairarapa played a much better game in the second spell and led 4—2 until five minutes before time was called, when the visitors scored twice in quick succession. The game ended in a draw—Wairarapa 4, Taranaki 4.
