Those who do much needlework will find it a good idea when starting a new piece of work to paste into a blank book a generous sample of the thread used—the tags from the bailor skein and make a note of the name of the store at which the materials were purchased, the price, the date, and the publication in which directions for the work appeared. Then, should one wish to match or duplicate the work, or be asked for information about it, the details are at hand.
