TO ASSIST THE POOR

DUAL AVONDALE FUNCTION An effort to assist the poor of Avondale, to be made the week after next, is to take the form of a dance and 500 tournament. The arrangements are being carried out by Aiiss Harris, but the proceeds from the dual function will pass through the hands of the Benevolent Society in meeting the requirements of those in need of assistance. Both the large and the small town hall have been booked for the occasion.
