BANDIT ARRESTED
NOTORIOUS ITALIAN LED ROBBER GANG By Cable Press Atsootation.—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily News” reports that a notorious Italian bandit named Sante Pollastri, who for years had evaded the police in various countries of Europe, was arrested after a desperate struggle. The Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini, has demanded his extradition. Pollastri was assisted by a gang of criminals to whom he paid high wages. He specialised in jewellery robberies in France and Italy, in the course of which it is alleged 10 murders were committed. Pollastri at first denied his identity, but he confessed when he was confronted by members of his own gang, of whom 30 were recently arrested.—Sun.
