THE KID BROTHER
NEW LLOYD TEST The “Lloyd film meets the test” that statement sums up the opinion of Max Colwell, a leading American film critic, who reviewed Harold Lloyd's new production, “The Kid Brother,” following its preview, at the Strand Theatre, Pasadena (California). Commenting further on this Paramount release, Colwell wrote: “Every time Harold Lloyd makes a new picture the experts say he will never be able to equal it. They said “Grandma’s Boy was so great that there weren’t enough gags in the world to duplicate it. They said it about “Hot Water,” and the others. The experts will have a chance to say it again when they see “The Kid Brother.” “The Kid Brother” is more than an excellent comedy. It has serious touches and even comedy. The gags are new* and several arc works of art. Most everything Harold does either makes you laugh or cry Fist nighters at the Strand did both.”
