GROCER’S DEATH
PNEUMONIA FOLLOWS ATTEMPT ON LIFE Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. At the inquest to-day on Arthur Longbottom, a grocer, aged 54, of Petone, evidence was given that tho deceased had been in ill-health for some time and had been depressed. On August 2 he was found in the bathroom with his throat.put,.and was removed to hospital, where he made progress until he contracted bronchial pneumonia. A verdict that deceased died from this following wounds in the throat, self-inflicted while mentally depressed, was recorded.
