A PUBLIC FAVOURITE
THERE is no denying the fact “*■ that the light harness public in both the North and South Islands has formed a very high estimate of the capabilities of the square-gaited son of Logan Pointer, Trampfast. Toward the end of the late season W. T. Lowe's speedy trotter was heavily supported in his engagements, and even at Alexandra Park, where it is known he never pulls out his best, Trampfast was the medium of solid speculation. Again at Addington, during the recent carnival, the gelding was a general favourite on each occasion, and while he won first time up, missed in his later essays. But that should not dishearten the public, which has shown good judgment in selecting Trampfast as a likely topnotcher.
