The Vice-President of the Federal Executive Council of Australia, Sir George Pearce, has been sworn in as a member of the Privy Council. At the request of King George, Sir George remained behind after the ceremony. The King expressed his gratification at the splendid arrangements made by the Commonwealth authorities at the time of the visit of the Duke of York, and chatted intimately on Australian matters.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
