Ford Sterling, Paramount featured comedian, is making an extended visit to New York City. Sterling has just completed an important role in “Drums of the Desert,” which also features Warner Baxter and Marietta Millner, and which is to be released shortly. The fun man is now scoring a tremendous hit in “Casey at the Bat,” with Wallace Beery as the star of the production. The date of his return to Hollywood is not yet determined.. .

Gary Cooper, Paramount’s new western star, is the only player under contract to Paramount who was engaged without a screen test. He was interviewed by B. P. Schulberg and other Paramount studio executives, and signed at once. He was elevated to the position of a western star in “Arizona Bound.” His second starring western picture is “The Last .Outlaw.”
