ST. ANDREW’S SOCIETY

SCOTTISH CONCERT The programme prepared by the St. Andrew’s Society for its concert in the Town Hall concert chamber tomorrow evening is very representative of Scotland. Scenes from Sir Walter Scott’s "The Lady of the Take” will be presented by pupils of Mrs. Arthur Griffiths. Two selections, "Gems of Scotia” and “Loch Lomond,” will be played by the orchestra and Pipe-Major D. Ferguson will give a strathspey and reel. Songs will be contributed by Miss Elsie Bentley, Miss Lillian Braithwaite, Mr. W. Gemmell and Mr. R. Peter, while Miss Braithwaite and Mr. Gemmell will sing ‘‘Bonnie Banks o’ Loch Lomond” as a duet. Miss Gwen McNaughton will perform a sword dance and a Russian dance, and Miss Doris Messer will contribute an elocutionary item. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” jvill conclude the programme,
