OPENS AT WELLINGTON Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The New Zealand amateur billiards championship commenced to-night at the Federal Club. W. N. Tucker, 666, defeated J. Spencer, 544. Both are members of the Federal Club. Neither player made a 40 break. E. V. Roberts (holder), of the Auckland Sports Club, will meet P. Devine, Petone Working Men’s Club, to-morrow night.
