PRINCESS AND TIVOLI
“GLENISTER OF THE MOUNTED” What is probably one of the most thrilling forest-fire scenes ever filmed is contained in “Glenister of the Mounted,” “Lefty” Flynn’s latest release, which is to be shown at the Princess and Tivoli Theatres to-night. The wonderful scenic background of the north woods, where the picture was taken, adds greatly to the realism of the story, and director Garson and his company had a number of narrow escapes during the fire sequence in their efforts to make the “shots” as life-like as possible. A gripping love story is woven into the picture, and the conflict between his duty and h'.s oath on the one hand, and his unshakeable belief in a girl's innocence on the other, affords Flynn an opportunity for some of the best acting of his career. The story, adapted by William E. Wing, was written by Arthur Guy Empey, and contains a surprise twist at the end in addition to an extremely dramatic climax.
