LEAGUE OF NATIONS

FRENCH DELEGATE RESIGNS By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Tuesday. The Paris correspondent of “The Times” says M. de Jouvenal has sent a letter to the Foreign Minister, M. Briand, resigning his appointment as the French delegate on the Council of the League of Nations. He gives as his reason for this step that the French Government did not submit to the League certain problems which he considered could only be solved by the League. In his reply M. Briand says it is not always advisable to appeal to the League over the head of interested parties when it may be possible to settle international disputes by the normal process of diplomacy.— Times.
