EPSOM METHODISTS’ ANNUAL MEETING

The membership of the Epsom Methodist Church, as shown by the report presented by the Rev. E. Drake, at the annual meeting-, now stands at 360, an increase of 19. There were 330 scholars and 40 teachers in the Sunday school. The financial statement showed the income for property purposes and debt reduction to be £529, Sunday school £2lO, home and foreign missions £576, general fund £548, making a total of over £1,560. About £9O was promised towards the debt extinction fund. The Rev. F. E. Leadley, Onehunga, Mr. E. A. Pearce and Mr. A. Peak gave addresses, and musical items were contributed by Miss Peak, Miss Bromilley, Mr. A. Wallbank and the church choir. Last Sunday the church celebrated Its 16th anniversary. Dr. H. Ranston, president of the Methodist Conference, spoke in the morning and the Rev. E. Drake in the evening. At both services, the choir, under the organist and choirmaster, Mr. A. Peak, gave special music.
