“MISS N.Z.” FINALISTS WELCOMED ON WEST COAST (.Special to TUB SUN.) GREYMOUTH, To-day. The Miss New Zealand finalists received a typical West Coast welcome on their arrival at Greymouth. They were greatly impressed by the wonderful scenery en route. The voting has been divided about equally between the Otago and Canterbury representatives, and as a result, Miss McCall (“Miss Canterbury”) has gained a place, and Miss Billie Andreasson two places. The positions now are: First: Miss Dale Austen (“Miss Otago”). Second: Miss Vera Hodge (Maid of Honour to “Miss Otago”). Third: Miss Morgie Cameron (Maid of Honour to “Miss Southland”). Fourth: Miss Leon McCall (“Miss Canterbury”). Fifth: Miss Hazel Spiers (“Miss Wellington”). Sixth: Miss Billie Andreasson (“Miss Auckland”). Seventh: Miss Hildred Graham (Maid of Honour to “Miss Auckland”).
Eighth: Miss Winnie Tonkinson (“Miss Southland”). Ninth: Miss Pat Smidt (Maid of Honour to “Miss Wellington”). Tenth: Miss Jane Kinsey (Maid of Honour to “Miss Canterbury”).
