Inquiry at the office of the A.A.A~ elicites the information that the preparation of the Hoad Guide is well under way, and the first stage will probably be completed in a fortnight. The Guide will not be available, however, until * The 5,000 membership mark has not yet been quite reached, but it is anticipated that it will be passed in September. * * * Many motorists who have tried out their speedometers on the new testing stretch on the Great South Road have been surprised at the error recorded. They are assured, however, that the ground has been acurately surveyed, and that any discrepancy must be in their speedometer. The association points out that it Is to the members own interest to notify any changes of their address. Cases have occurred recently where mail for financial members has been returned from the post office.
