HOW ADVERTISING REDUCES PRICES

Advertising has been a boon and a blessing to the world at large," said Sir Charles Higham at a Fleet Street and Advertising Club luncheon. “The public will find out at the Advertising Exhibition, at Olympia in July,” he added, “why advertising reduces the price of goods and guarantees their standard of -quality: why advertising increases trade and employment; and why advertising has brought yesterday’s luxuries to the low price of necessities. “The most vital force in modern selling will be explained and demonstrated.” Sir Charles added that although advertising agents dealt constantly in publicity for their clients, there was no one more afraid of the limelight than themselves.
