Over 200 suppliers attended the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Company held yesterday. Mr. C. L. Luke presided. A motion of no confidence in the directors was defeated by 189 votes to 123. It was decided to oppose the Daylight Saving Bill. A motion in favour of abolishing the ward system of vottas was also carried. The report stated that the season? output had registered an increase of 130 tons over that of the previous season. An average butterfat payment of Is 4jjd a lb was paid out to suppliers • BUTTER MARKET STILL IMPROVING ADVANCE OF 4 - New Zealand butter continues to meet with better values on the Londor market. advices from that quarter indicate a further improvement of 4s, an advance of up to 1!* on the market of less than a fortnight ago. Cheese is also selling freely up to 93s on a market indicating ever, better values in the near future. Under date August. 8 the Londor principals of A. S. Paterson and CoLtd., cabled as follows: “Butter firm, 170 sto 3 725. Chee# steady, 92s to 935. Waikato pastures are in good heV* at present and a good growth of lias been maintained. Frequent raft* kept the land moist, while the absence of repeated heavy frosts allowed the grass to make an unusual growth d yr ' ing the winter months. As a con** quence the whole province alreaobears a spring-like appearance, though hay and roots will be fed dairy stock In the Waikato for abouanother six weeks.
