ANOTHER COAL EXPLOSION
KITCHEN RANGE CRACKED <Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, To-day. The need for examination of coal before use was demonstrated at Castlecliff last evening. A loud report from the kitchen startled the members of a family as they were having tea and it was found that an explosion had occurred in the firebox of the stove. The top of the rang© was cracked and a tin kettle had been crumpled and flung on the floor.
