Fish is in firm demand in the city shops, but prices remain practically unaltered. Hapuka brings Is a lb; mullet, 6d; terekehi, sd; schnapper fillets, 3d and 4d each, according to size. Eggs continue to cheapen in the marts, and hen eggs to-day made from Is 7£d to Is Btd a dozen: duck eggs made from Is 7d to Is 7Jd a dozen. Farmers’ butter in the marts makes Is 2Ad to Is 31d a lb. Clever Mary is in big demand and Is selling at the usual price at all grocers. 1.
