MATTHEW’S WOMEN’S GUILD AT MORRINSVILLE The St. Matthew’s Women’s Guild held the third monthly meeting in the Parish Hall on Thursday. The fine weather and the ever-increasing popularity of these gatherings was responsible for a large attendance. The community singing, in which everyone joined most heartily, was led by Mrs. J. H. Wyatt, who also sung “The Link Divine” (Piccilomini). The

accompaniments were played by Mrs. J. J. Scales. Quite a feature of the musical portion of the afternoon was the violin obligato played by Mesdames Watts and W. T. Osborne. A recitation entitled “Casey,” by Miss Allen, was much enjoyed by all. Many useful and dainty gifts were received. Some of them were sold, and the remainder kept for the sale of work, which will be held later in the year. A dainty afternoon tea was provided by the members. Great credit is due to the secretary, Mrs. L. Peklin, whose untiring efforts have contributed largely to the success of these gatherings.
