RAWHITI DANCE-SOCIAL
J A most enjoyable and successful j dance-social was held in St. Aidan’s I Hall last Tuesday, under the auspices ■of the Rawhiti Bowling: Club. The hall was prettily decorated. the floor in good condition, and Hyde’s Orchestra gave excellent dance music. The hall carried its full complement of dancers, and card tables were well patronised on the stage. The evening was opened with the National Anthem, Mr. J. Barr Paterson, president, following with a short address of welcome. Musical items were rendered by Mrs McLaren, Mr. Dickson, Mr. Jackson and Mr. Thomson, which pleased the audience, while Miss Messer gave in splendid style an elocutionary piece entitled “Next Week.” A dainty supper made an appreciated break during the evening. The Rawhiti Bowling Club takes this opportunity to thank all the ladies anc gentlemen who so willingly gave then assistance to make the evening sc pleasant It is the club’s intention to give mother similar evening in three oi j four weeks’ time, when something 1 specially entertaining is promised.
