Sunday Trading.— For Sunday trading A Bray was fined £5 in the Police Court to-day. J. E. Martin similarly charged was fined £2. Cyclist Injured. —C. Flett, the wellknown cyclist, aged 25, collided with a motor-lorry at Wellington yesterday through his machine skidding. He received severe facial injuries.—Press Asan. Soccer At Night. —The first game of Soccer played by means of electric hght In Sydney was witnessed last evening. The Chinese team defeated Metropolitan by six goals to one.—A. and N.Z. Eden Goes For Trial.— Arthur Herbert Eden, aged 39, who was charged at the Police Court yesterday with attempted rape and indecent assault, Pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Stolen Canvas. —John Patard, aged 18, who admitted stealing canvas valued at 10s, was fined 40s at the Police Court to-day. His brother, Arthur patard, aged 17, was convicted and discharged. Arrested In Wellington. Eric A e fu nce O’Shea and Frank James Arthur Duke, each aged 20, were charged at the Police Court to-day with stealing two overcoats. They had been arrested in Wellington, and were rehianded for a week.
