STRIKE IN SYDNEY
MEN IGNORE WARNING A GO-SLOW SUGGESTION By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9.25 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. Only one engineer presented himself for work in accordance with the order of the Arbitration Court. The remainder ignored it. A strikers’ meeting is being held today. A suggestion has been made that the men resume work in accordance with the order, and later inaugurate go-slow and irritation tactics.— A. and N.Z. A cablegram received yesterday read: “The Metal Trades Employers’ Association has advised the strikers that unless they resume work immediately steps will be taken to enforce the order of the Arbitration Court. Failure to obey the order may involve a fine of £IOO or three months’ imprisonment.”
