AGAINST CENTRALISATION
TEACHERS “GRAVELY CONCERNED” The Auckland branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute views with “grave concern” the tendency toward centralisation in educational matters and is convinced that any attempt to curtail the powers of boards as at present constituted will be inimical to the best interests of education in the Dominion. A resolution on these lines is to be submitted to the annual meeting of the Auckland branch on September 8.
