“GOING TO THE DOGS”

In the mechanical coursing at the White City, the dogs provided plenty of comedy. In the first race, which the Prince of Wales and Prince George witnessed , in, the presence of 60,000 spectators, the hare teas too fast, and the dogs never sighted it. In the second event, a hurdle race, the dogs sat and played on. the track, but later the Princes jumped to their feet in their excitement. It was thrilling sport, they declared, and they were coming again.
