FATAL COLLISION

ACCIDENT IN WHANGAREI VICTIM SUCCUMBS (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, To-day. William A. Frood, the victim of the motor-cycle accident on Tuesday evening, died at 8.45 last night in the Whangarei Hospital from the fracture of the base of his skull, sustained in the collision. The deceased leaves a young vvido-fo and two young children. He belonged to a well-known family in the North, especially on the Northern Wairoa. He had a wide connection with Oddfellows’ lodges and Rugby Union circles, and was secretary of both* in Whangarei for several years.He had been employed since his return from the war as accountant to the Whangarei Timber Company.
