The Geneva correspondent of the “Daily Mail” reports the occurrence of | a great storm throughout Switzerland. It was accompanied by a terrific cloudburst at the village of Territet. in the mountain district. The storm played havoc with buildings, bridges and vineyards. Streams became roaring torrents and j damaged the railways. One train was : leaving Montreux station when it was {embedded in mud. A stream invaded the Hotel Richlieu at Montreux, where preparations were in progress for a banquet. The waittresses had just escaped when the water j rushed in, covering the piano and thei furniture in rw room with mud and ] rocks. —Sun
