HUMOURING A YOUTH COURT GIVES HIM A CHANCE The Probation Officer is now engaged In attempting to find employment among horses for George Edward Cox, aged 19. Cox appeared before Mr. TV. R. McKean, S.M., for sentence at the Police Court to-day on a series of false pretence charges. Chief-Detective Cummings said that restitution had been made. The magistrate said that the Probation Officer did not recommend probation because accused had previous convictions, but he promised to do what he could to get him employment among horses. Mr. Goldwater, who appeared for accused. said he would be quite contented if he worked with horses. The case was adjourned for a month to see what arrangements could be mads.
