RUAHINE TO THE FORE Press Association. PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. The Manawatu hockey team lost the Winter Shield to Ruahine (Dannevirke) by one goal to nil, after a fast game. DANNEVIRKE, Wednesday. The Ruahine ladies' hockey team today again successfully defended the Carroll Shield, beating Napier by three goals to niL PAHIATUA, Wednesday. The ladies’ representative hockey match, Ruahine (Dannevirke) v. Bush, resulted in a draw, each side scoring two goals in a good game. Ruahine probably showed more science.
