SCHOOL SPORTS

(From Our Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, To-day. The annual steeplechase under the auspices of the Dargaville District High School was run yesterday afternoon. There were two races, one for the primary and one for the secondary department. The primary event was started first. There were 100 entrants and the race was run over a course of three miles. It resulted:—W. Gracie 1. A. Mohan v 2, Valder 3. The result of the secondary department’s race over the same course wasR. Cleary 1, J. Kelly 2, L. Wordswortli 3. A field of 20 started. The races caused much enthusiasm and were witnessed by a large number of parents and friends of the schokirs.
