TENNIS MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE IDEA DEFEATED A proposal to establish a management committee of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was defeated last night, but a special committee to deal with urgent questions arising between the monthly meetings was set up. Mr. V. R. Johns urged the establishment of the management committee, but the motion was lost. The Mount Eden Congregational Club was granted affiliation. The following committees were elected: —Inter-club Committee. Messrs. Goldie, Morrin, Ellis, A. C. Johns and D. S. Macfarlane; Selection CommitI tee and Committee in Charge of Ladi der, Messrs. Bartleet, Thomson, Goldie land the secretary; Emergency Committee, Messrs. Taylor, Griffiths. Thomson, | Macfarlano. Ohlson and Turner.
