In choosing the site for your home remember these points: A hasty selection may mean untold loss and unhappiness. Look and look again. A lawyer's assistance will save in the long ru-*- Ignorance of the law is no excuse. The greater the apparent bargain, the more caution is needed. Take count of surroundings and neighbours, schools and churches, transportation and parks. Study the contour, exposure, outlook and drainage of the plot under consideration. New developments are more risky than old ones. Investigate electric, gas, water, sewer and telephone connections. What restrictions has the owner placed upon the property to protect you against encroachments of business? Investigate street grades. Failure to do this may cause your house to be below the level of the footpath.
