The result of the semi-finals this morning leaves 31 rs. Dufaur and Miss D. Horton to play off the final tomorrow afternoon. The first round. played yesterday afternoon, resulted: Mrs. Dufaur beat Miss Cook, 4 and Miss K. Horten beat Mrs. Dignan, 1 up. Mrs. Dcighton beat Miss Colebrook, 3 and 2. Miss D. Horton beat Mrs. Rutherford, 4 and 2. The first round of the junior championship resulted: Miss Bray defeated Mrs. Fraer, 3 and 1; Mrs. Cain defeated Mrs. Lovett, 1 up at the 19th:

FRANKLIN LADIES Franklin ladies’ championships over 36 holes will be played on the Everslie Club’s course on August 27. consisting of the championships, bogey round and medal round. Strong teams aye to compete from the various clubs and some very interesting golf is anticipated. NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION KJRK-WINDEYER CUP The monthly meeting of the council of the New Zealand Golf Association was held on Monday. The revenue account and balance sheet as at July 31 showed a surplus of assets £253. The chairman’s draft of the annual report was also approved and both were ordered to be printed ancl circulated to clubs The following clubs, which had made application, were elected members ot the association: The Canterbury Agricultural College Club. Lincoln: the Eketahuna Golf Club, Eketaliuna: the Takaka Golf Club, Takaka; making the total number of clubs in the association 1 37.
