BAKER TO THE RESCUE

BOYS IN DIFFICULTIES INCIDENT AT EDENDALE During the recent floods in the Edcndale district throe boys who got into difficulties in the water were rescued by Mr. Charles Davis, baker, of Eden Terrace. One of the boys, Colin Naylor, fell into the water in Kingsway Avenue. Another bay, whose name was not available, went in after him. He also got into difficulties, and a third boy, Ray Buckley, went to the rescue of his companions. From what some boys said yesterday afternoon the consequences might have been serious but for the appearance of Mr. Davis. With the aid of planks he got the boys to safety.
