The hall was very prettily decorttec. excellent music also contributing in small measure to the success of function. The children’s dance t ; * minated at nine o’clock, after wn hour the room was given over to u* adults. . . The first prize for the best costume was awarded to Frank Coni®■.» whose “Miss New Zealand” cojtung comprised principally of copies of J SUN, proved most original. . Couldrey, “The Star,” was awards second place.
