PERSONAL. —Mr. T. Clements has replaced Mr. R. Osborne as second officer on the Kaitoke. Mr. A. E. Paterson has signed on as chief officer of the Gunbar, vice Mr. W. Drinkwater. The Nobel Explosive Company’s auxiliary schooner Piri. which left Auckland on Sunday, was commanded by Captain W. Watt, who has with him the following officers;—Chief, Mr. W. E. Willcocks; second, Mr. D. Bradney: chief engineer, Mr. A. Bowman; second, Mr. E. Tidbury. Mr. J. T. Jeboutt has signed on as third officer of the Waipiata, vice Mr. G. J. Webb.

Mr. T. Monaghan has superseded Mr. A. Kendrick as chief officer of the Isabella de Fraine.

DREDGE KORUA BERTHS.— The Gisborne Harbour Board’s dredge Korua undocked this morning and berthed at Central Wharf, where she will complete her annual overhaul and survey before going back to Gisborne. WAIPAHI SAILS TO-MORROW.— To load fruit for Auckland the Union Company are dispatching the fruit steamer Waipahi from this port at 3 p.m. to-morrow for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu, Mauke and Mangaia. MAKURA FROM SAN FRANCISCO. —The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S. Makura arrives at Wellington this afternoon from San Francisco via ports and leaves to-morrow at 3 p.m. for Sydney.

CANADIAN SEIGNEUR DELAYED. —The local office of the Canadian Government Line advises that the Canadian Seigneur has been delayed at Dunedin by wet weather. She is expected to leave the Southern port tonight or to-morrow morning, and will not arrive at Auckland until about Tuesday next, to complete loading for New York, Boston and Montreal.

MARAMA AT W ELLI N GTON.— The Union Company advises that the intercolonial passenger steamer Marama arrived at Wellington at 6.40 a.m. today from Sydney, and leaves at 3 p.m. next Friday on her return trip to the New South Wales port. MAUI UNDOCKS.—The Gisborne Harbour Board's dredge Maui undocked this morning to allow the Waipahi to go into dock to have her hull cleaned and painted. The Maui goes into dock again to-morrow with the Kurow to complete overhaul before proceeding to Greymouth. MELBOURNE SERVICE. The Union Company advises that the Manuka is due at Melbourne to-day from Wellington, and leaves the Victorian port on Friday for Wellington. She is due at Wellington on August 10 and sails the following day for Lyttelton Dunedin, Bluff and Melbourne. She clears Bluff finally on August 16. PORT HUNTER REPORTS.—According to a further radio message received by the agents, Heather, Roberton and Company, the C. and D. Line steamer Fort Hunter is expected to arrive at Auckland at 8 o’clock on Thursday morning from Liverpool. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY.. —CabIe advice reports the arrival of the Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa at Sydney at midnight last night from Wellington. She is to leave the New South Wales port at rioon on Friday for Auckland where she is due next Tuesday morning.

KENT LEAVES LIVERPOOL.— According to cable advice the Federal steamer Kent sailed from Liverpool on Sunday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. She is expected to arrive at Auckland on September 5 and the New Zealand Shipping Company will be the local agents.

TANKER PLACUNA REPORTED.— The oil tanker Placuna passed Thursday Island on Sunday, en route from Java to New Zealand. Pier discharging ports have not been announced. The Placuna is owned by the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Co., Ltd., and her former name wars the Excalona. She was built at Sunderland jn 1913 and her tonnage is 4,968 gross. MAHENO ARRIVES.— After an exceptionally fine weather passage the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maheno (Captain Davey) arrived at Auckland early this morning from Sydney and later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf. The vessel sailed from the New South Wales port at 11 a.m. last Friday and had an uneventful trip across the Tasman Sea. The following passengers arrived by the Maheno:

Saloon. —Mesdames Jacobs, Besley, Bosworth, Fell, Lightband, Cotton, Blum, Eniauel, Clifton, Vasey; Misses Walker, Clifton, Lvnch; Messrs. Jacobson, Bayliss, Morton, Thorburn, Blum, Cunningham, Tremain, Cornish, Colley, Lieut. Cooney, Clifton, Henson; Master Lynch and 46 steerage. The 'vessel is scheduled to leave Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. H.M.S. DUNEDIN REPORTS.— H.M.S. Dunedin will reach Auckland from England at 3.30 to-morrow afternoon, according to her wireless report to the Naval Department. The cruiser left Auckland on January 25 for Sheerness, where she refitted and had her armament brought up-to-date. On arrival the cruiser will berth at Sheerlegs Wharf. CANADIAN PIONEER REPORTED. —The Canadian Pioneer, which left Auckland on June 30 for New York, Boston and Montreal, reached Panama on Saturday, according to cable advice received. The vessel brought a general cargo to New Zealand and filled up with produce, etc., for the homeward trip.

SOUTHLAND AT FREMANTLE.— En route from Dublin to Bluff, the Bluff Harbour Board’s tug Southland arrived at Fremantle on Saturday. She will replenish her bunkers there, and then call at Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney before crossing the Tasman to New Zea 1 aid.

NIAGARA SAILING. —In continuation of her voyage from Sydney, the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara sans from Auckland at 3 p.m. to-day lor Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver. The following passengers left with the vessel:
