CONCERT AT WIRI

FOLLOWED BY FARCE A most enjoyable concert was presented to an audience which filled the Wiri Hall on Thursday night last. Items were contributed by the following: Pianoforte duets by the Misses Gilbert; vocal duets by Misses Trimble; recitations by Miss Finlay and Miss E. Trimble and Mr. J. O’Hara; vocal items by Mrs. Bluett, Miss Finlay, Miss Holmes and Mr. Robey. In the second part of the programme a one-act play entitled “The Bathroom Door” was presented. The various characters were portrayed by Misses Moss, Gilbert, I. Holmes, P. Orr and Finlay. All the items were well received, and encores demanded throughout the evening.
