Two Winners to Divide £lo
SUN SPORTS COMPETITION 59 COUPONS ONLY ONE OUT Owing to the unexpected results in Saturday’s football and hockey matches, it was not expected that the £lO prize would leave the office this week, but that it would double itself for next Saturday. However, Mr. C. Gardiner, 39 Oliphant; Street, Ponsonby, and Miss E. Hall, 29 Finch Street, Morningside, were both successful in placing the teams in their correct positions, and will collect £5 each. There were 59 other competitors with only one mistake, and the majority of these found the big stumbling block to be one of the three games, Training College v. Mount Eden in the hockey, Grammar v. Ponsonby in the Rugby, and Marist v. Ponsonby in the League. This weeik's competition includes, in addition to Soccer and League Rugby club fixtures, the second round of the Devonport shield in men’s hockey, and three Rugby representative matches, Auckland and South Canterbury, and two Auckland B teams against South Auckland and Thames, respectively.
