HELPING THE CHURCH
CONCERT AT ST. ANDREW’S The St. Andrew’s Church building fund will benefit as a result of the concert given in the church hall on Friday evening. The first part of the programme consisted of a number of items contributed by Mrs. W. Cowan, Miss P. McLeod, Mr. J. Dickson, Miss Margaret Stoddart and Miss D. Messer. The St. Andrew’s Society orchestra made its first appearance under the conductorship of Mr. D. Ewart. The second part was given to the performance of “The Countrie Courtin’, ’ a Scots comedy in which parts were taken by Mrs. Milne Hovey, Miss L. Lugton and Messrs. D. McCallum. T. Swan, J. Howie and .T. Barr.
