Directors are predicting a great future for this tall and fair Australian girl, who in one role only has convinced Australians that they have brilliant actresses in their own country. Miss Harcourt « life has been as romantic and vivid as the lives so patently manufactured by press agents for all great motion picture stars. As a demure programme seller and usher at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sydney, she attracted the attention of George Highland, geniusproducer of the Australian stage, and she was immediately placed in hi* current production. She has done stage work ever since, her dazzling beauty and poise attracting the producers of “The Term,” and she was approached to join the company. Her decision to leave the stage was a happy one, for in a few short months she has achieved a fame and future which perhaps the stage would never have offered her.
