Pursuant to the provisions of Section S9O of the Auckland City By-law No. 1 it is hereby notified that as from MONDAY, the Ist August, 1927, Omnibuses proceeding to Parnell, Remuera, Tamaki, Ellerslie or Howick, Otahuhu, Onehunga or Mangere, Buckland Road or Pah Road, or in those directions or beyond respectively, will start from a stand in Commerce Street in substitution for the present stand in Sturdee Street, and on the inward route will proceed via Customs Street East and Commerce Street and the outward route via Fort Street and Beach Road. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution passed at a Special Meeting of the Auckland City Council convened for that purpose, and held on the 28th day of July, 1927, and intended to operate as a Special Order, will come up for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Auckland City Council to be held on THURSDAY, the 25tli day of August, 1927, in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Auckland, at 7 o’clock p.m., viz.:— “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,’ 'The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,’ ‘The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,’ and of all powers thereunto enabling it the Auckland City Council doth hereby by Special Resolution intended to operate as a Special Order resolve to borrow the sum of Forty-one Thousand Eight Hundred and Twelve Pounds (£41,812) for the purpose of paying off and redeeming balance of the 1904 Issue of the Auckland City Borrowing Act, 1899, £IO,OOO, Remuera Drainage Loans of £3,400, Refuse Destructor Loans of £IB,OOO and the Grey Lynn Road Formation and Drainage Loan of £15,000 at a rate of interest not exceeding Six per centum per annum, for a period of 30 years from the date of the raising of the Loan, and that the Security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of Three-eighths of a penny (3-8 d) in the £ and that the Auckland City Council pay out of the loan the Costs, Charges and expenses of raising the said Loan, but not the interest or Sinking Fund thereon for the first year.” J.
