WOMEN’S POLITICAL ASSN

TOUR OF TRAMWAYS About fifty members of the Auckland Women's Political Association made an interesting - tour of the various tramway departments and workshops on Thursday afternoon, as the guests of the tramway department, which placed two of the corporation buses and several guides at their disposal. The construction works and repair shops -were particularly interesting places to the visitors, who came away with a greatly increased sense of the magnitude of the tramway undertaking. The facilities afforded the men for recreation also occasioned a great deal of interest, and the billiard rooms, libraries and canteens where light meals may be obtained, received much favourable comment.
