TE HURUNUI APANUI SHIELD OLD REP. PRESENTS CUP The Te Hurunui Apanul Memorial Challenge Shield, which was presented to the Bay of Plenty R.ugby Union in memory of a famous Maori footballer, was first presented to Whakatane. Rotorua was the first challenger, defeating Whakatane by 21 points to 15. Te Puke then challenged Rotorua and defeated the representatives of the geyserland by 9 points to 3 last Saturday. Rangitaiki is to play Te Puke for the trophy to-morrow. The shield iS played for under the same rules and conditions as the Ranfurly Shield. Mr. Sam Emery, an old Rotorua Rugby representative, has presented the Rotorua Union with a cup to be competed for by the champion senior teams of the Bay of Plenty. i ~~n
